The tropics

Temperatures in at MSAC have reached an all time high, with best estimates putting the mercury at somewhere around the 38 degree mark.

In spite of this, there have been some ice cold performances tonight from Jono Koh, Nick Morris, Arthur Kiselnikov, Sam Hensen-Thompson, Reece Walker and Maxi Williams just to name them all.

Currently looking forward to Joe and Maxi ripping through a 100 fly, and a swift exit into the cool night air.

Congrats to Sam H-T on his silver in the 100 FS earlier.

Opening night

A ripper first night at State SC 2011, with Bayside thus far netting three medals. Joe picked up a gutsy gold in his 200 fly, swimming through a debilitating illness and showing heart to claim the win.

Maxi Williams picked up two bronze medals in his 50 FS and 200 BK, coming from nowhere in the backstroke to win a dark-horse 3rd.

Congratulations to all swimmers, some great PBs coming out of the night and some huge confidence boosts in off events.

A big thanks goes out to the timekeepers who helped out tonight, thanks for your support.

The swim of the night goes to Pete Koh, racing the boys 13 years 100 IM and picking up a big PB with Jono's help.

Shaping up as a great weekend for Bayside.
