Bayside meet

This is a reminder that our short course meet is rapidly approaching and that entries should come through Gus via email. We need as much help as possible with this meet. Help from swimmers through entries and help from parents through volunteering to timekeep or officiate in other ways.
The Nunawading meet is also on that weekend. The priority is our meet. Looking forward to being inundated with requests to help.

National Opens and Age

Opens have been announced as being at Sydney again next year. No big surprise. Back to 8 days too. Long meet.

For those unaware, Age Nationals are in Adelaide. Accommodation and transport has been sorted already. Looking at around $1200pp. Things can change though at this early stage. More details on the calendar.

The Nunawading Short Course Meet will be held on Saturday 14 August 2010. 
The meet will be held at Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre's indoor 25m pool.

SWIM MEET PROGRAM

ENTRIES

• ONLINE ENTRIES are the preferred method of entry for this meet.
• Entry fee is $10.00 per event.  Payment can be made online by VISA or MasterCard
• Entries will be accepted in order of receipt and entries may be limited due to time constraints
• Entries close Friday 23rd July 2010 at 6:00pm unless filled prior
• No late entries will be accepted
• No phone, fax or email entries will be accepted
• For swimmers who cannot enter online (or do not have a qualifying time in the online database but have swum the time at a local or Club meet), you may use the Club and District Events Entry Form  and post it to the Competition Officer, Nunawading Swimming Club, Fraser Place, Forest Hill, Vic 3133. Payment for these entries may be made by cheque or money order 'payable to Nunawading Swimming Club Inc' or by VISA or MasterCard by completing details on the SV entry form
• Athletes who enter and withdraw will not be reimbursed the entry fee

OTHER MEET INFORMATION

• Registered swimmers only
• Age of swimmers as at 14th August 2010
• Timeline and athlete rosters will be posted on www.nunawadingswimmingclub.com 1 week prior to the event, please check the athlete roster to ensure your entries are correct
• The event will be conducted under SAL & SV guidelines and is a proposed qualifying meet subject to SV approval
• Pool entry is free for spectators & swimmers
• Programs will be available for sale on the day for $5.00 per session
• Random prizes will be awarded throughout the day
• Results will be posted at www.nunawadingswimmingclub.com in the week following the meet

State Champs Uniforms

Everyone that has qualified for state will be expected to wear the club uniform at the meet. If you do not have, at the very least, a new red Bayside t-shirt and cap, you will need to order them through Michelle Balleggi. No longer do we want people wearing the old gross blue and red 'wave' polo shirts. They can be worn to training and camps etc. At state we need everyone wearing the red, coaches included.

Also, the new deck coats are available to order. We need 20 orders to kick it all off. See Michelle again for those. Price will be around the $120 mark. Just for a change, they are black. Didn't want too many different reds out there.
