Comm Games Pool

DELHI, INDIA--Reports from India indicates that the Mukherjee Swimming Pool Complex, which will host Aquatics at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in October, was officially inaugurated this weekend in New Delhi. The reports indicate that while major construction on the facilities is done, clean-up items (i.e. installation of the diving boards) may still be pending before next week's first test event in the facility. An inspection by the country's national federation, the Swimming Federation of India (SFI), appears also to have yet to occur. The facility is to be handed over to venue operations this week; leading the venue will be former swimmer Khajan Singh.
