Excellent Food Ideas

Idea Number 1

Pizza Scrolls

Preparation Time: 20 Minutes
Cooking Time: 30 Minutes

Ingredients
• 2 Cups (300g) self-raising flour
• 1 tablespoon caster sugar
• 30g butter
• ¾ cup (180ml) milk
• ¼ cup (70g) tomato paste
• 2 teaspoons Italian herb blend
• 100g sliced mild salami (or any other meat topping you like)
• 1 medium green capsicum (200g), cut into thin strips
• 2 cups (200g) grated cheese

1. Preheat oven to a moderate heat. Grease 19cmx29cm tray

2. Place flour and sugar in a medium sized bowl; use fingers to rub the butter into the flour mixture until is resembles coarse bread crumbs. Stir in milk; mix to a soft, sticky dough. Knead the dough lightly on a floured surface; using a rolling pin, roll the dough out to form a 30cmx40cm rectangle.

3. Using the back of a large spoon spread the tomato paste all over the dough. Sprinkle herbs evenly over the base and add your toppings.

4. Starting from one of the long sides, roll the dough tightly and trim the edges. Using a serrated knife cut the dough roll carefully into 12 even slices; place the slices facing side up, in a single layer into the tray. Bake the slices, uncovered, in a moderate oven for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.

5. Then eat!
